When you are storing things in your garage, one of the normal items is the gas can.  You don't want it out where the kids can get into it, you want it easily accessible so wouldn't it make sense to put in inside metal cabinets that would keep it safe and secure? Just look at all the wonderful choices you have in the different designs of metal cabinets available, just right to fit you space needs.

Ok, so I have to post quickly to get one in between the two I just did for payperpost.  Otherwise they won't let me claim one of them, they have to have a posting non related to payperpost between postings and it has to be after they have come up for offer, so, this is it.

Just know that I am really ready for my husband to be home.  He's done a wonderful job with the kids and it sounds like he has enjoyed it too, but, when I'm not there too it gets lonesome around here.

A garage is a wonderful addition to a home, you can store your car, tools and lawn equipment in it.  The other things that can go into a garage on the storage shelves in the garage storage is all that Christmas decorating stuff that takes up so much space in the house!

It would be so wonderful to have drop down shelves that are on a pulley type system that raises the shelves into the rafter area so that it's out of the way totally and  yet easy to get down and up when you need to.

Yesterday started out early with a trip to Burlington to a Smith Auction.  It was at the Port and was packed with glassware, which was a delight for me.  The regulars weren't there so I thought that I would be able to pick up some Carnival Glass cheap, since there was a lot of it.  Wrong!  Geez, the newbies had no idea what Carnival Glass sells for (or they wanted it for their own collection, which means they can pay more than those of us that buy to resell.)  Anyway, pieces that only RETAIL for $30 - $50 were selling for $70 and $80.  Now, the auctioneer loved it, kept looking at me and grinning….knows that I wouldn't pay that if it was for myself!  Then they had some antique furniture, about 5 pieces, that had been left to the Historical Society with the instructions that it was to be sold and the money given to the Society.  The pieces went dirt cheap, they hadn't been advertised and so the furniture dealers weren't there.  They had a Secretary that was absolutely beautiful, huge but great detail, it should have brought a small fortune, appraised at $2400 and sold for under $1000, the other pieces went for around $200.  Course, they were HUGE and therefore it would take a big house with high ceilings (like ours) to hold the pieces and display them properly.  Although they were beautiful, they weren't pieces that fit with our lifestyle so didn't feel bad about them not coming home with me.

There were two Pillan vases, they sold for over $800 for the big one and $500 for the smaller one.  They were really neat, wasn't familiar with that artist before so enjoyed seeing something new that was quality.

I came home with a lot, all of it is now listed and ready to sell, have bids on some of it already which is what the whole thing is about.

Today I went to Salem to the Glover auction.  It didn't have anything that I wanted but did get to see Michelle and visit for a bit.  Chris Glover was there, he's the guy that put in our elevator at the hotel, super nice guy.  We visited for quite awhile.  I got to meet his wife, mom and grandma as well as his daughter.  That was fun.  He said that he has quit his job and is now going to work for the city of MP.  He will start out mowing and all that, but he hopes to move into other areas.  He's tired of being away from his family all the time.  He had been working in Dubuque for the past 5 weeks, even though the company has work closer he said he seemed to always be shipped off to the furtherest locations and it just got old.

Decided that it was time to leave when the auctioneers went out to sell tractors and it would be a couple of hours before they got back to the small selection of glassware they had to sell.

Need to start getting ready to go back to DM, 7:30 will come early to be on the road, usually am on the road by 7 just to be safe.

I have put an ad on Craig's list so we'll see if there are any applicants from that along with Job Service and the net.

It always is good to get back home after the week in Des Moines.  The weather is perfect, hope it lasts until Greg gets home, would be nice to work outside in the weather together.

I went to the bank today, but our bank closes over lunch hour so that means if you get there at noon, you wait.  I ate at the little restaurant in town, it actually has had numerous owners over the years that we have banked in town, but it's nice that this little bitty town has a place to eat, and I must admit that I'm glad the Mexican one is gone and the American one is there now.  The Mexican one wasn't very good.

They were busy today with farmers coming in for lunch, the talk around the tables seemed to indicate that they think they are going to have a good year.  The attitude was positive and lots of laughter.

Janet, my banker, is going to be gone for two weeks next month, going to Tulsa for a cross stitch camp and then off to Reno.  She's pretty excited about both.  She said this is the second year for Tulsa and she thinks the city is pretty nice too, I do, at least from the one time I've visited the city.

I talked to Greg today, he kept Jake home since Jake decided that he was sick.  Didn't seem sick to Greg, no fever or anything but kept him home anyway.

I got some listing done today of the things that I bought at the sale on Wednesday night.  There is a big sale in Burlington tomorrow so I will be off early to try and get a parking space close enough to be reasonable.  The sale should be primarily glassware, that will be fun for me!  If I get stuff and get it listed quickly when I get home I can get it in before eBay raises their listing fee back to the normal fee.  The month of September has been free listing, been sweet!

It was off to the auction on the Southside last night.  Although there wasn't a lot I wanted there, I did pick up a few things that I think will sell.  I also got a book case for the office, it's wicker so I could carry it.  Not that it is the best in the world for our office, but it will be great for the paper, three hole punch and that kind of stuff as well as the radio.

Speaking of the radio, yesterday I didn't turn it on, just didn't think about it.  Later in the afternoon the guys wanted to know what happened to the music.  Ooops, ok, on with the radio.  You can tell the age of the guys by the music they like, like me they want oldies so we listen to the oldies station in Des Moines.  Bizarre that there are songs that I actually know and some I don't.  Didn't think I had paid enough attention to the music to know them but apparently I did.

I just read my husbands blog about his babysitting experiences.  He is so funny!  I do believe that the kids have won him over, although there are rules it seems like they don't have any problem following them so that's a good thing.  Even Molly normally doesn't object, except for bedtime last night, but this morning I am sure she is in a better mood for school than she would have been had she won the battle to stay up.

The guys have some good call backs to do today and next week.  Terry finally got through to the "right" person at Casey's.  This is a challenge he has faced for years (according to him) and when he finally got the right guy he was so excited.  Terry just called and I told him that my daughter said the caller ID for our number comes up as Wal-Mart, wonder if that's why he answered the phone for Casey's :)

Ok, now I have to go figure out how to program the voicemail on the phones so each phone has the right person answering their extension.  Erica had it figured out at the office at home, but I have to figure it out here, great, where the heck is Erica??

I have just proven my theory, I can make things disappear without even trying.  I was typing away, hit some key by mistake and poof, what I had written was gone.  Don't know what I hit, but will try not to hit it again

Tonight is auction night in Des Moines, which means that after work I will be on my way to the Southside.  All I have to do is remember how to get there, which I think I now have down.  Don't know how much there will be there, but that's the auction chance.

I talked to my husband earlier, he was at the park with Molly waiting for it to be time to go to school.  I think both of them truly enjoy that time together.

The guys are on the phone and making really good contacts so things are looking pretty good.  Hope one of them closes a sale this week, it will truly boost their spirits and pocketbooks!

Sproose is the new site that allows you to vote on the websites that you like, put comments in about why you like them and help to boost the sites ranking.

Give it a try click here to try sproose

The tutorial is easy to follow, the impact on sites should be interesting to watch, those that you like should also appeal to others and help them move up in the rankings too.  Those that are primarily worthless you can vote to have them removed.  How cool is that?

There are days when, regardless of what you tell yourself, you are just in a nasty mood.  That's today for me.  Not that anyone would know it, not that I will let anyone know (other than you that read the blog) but gosh darn it, I want to smack someone.  No, not really, it's just that once again staff thinks they know more than we do.  Oh, well, why don't you do this, why don't you do that, why is this this way, why don't we change this, why isn't there more information in the directions on how to get to the stadium?  You know that is you just did this or that it would be so much easier.  All I want to do is tell him (it's just one control freak that I'm talking about) to just be quite and get to work.  It's not that what he is saying is wrong; it's just that I'm not in the mood to have some sniveling brat person that is supposed to be an adult man telling me in a whiney voice his "revisions" that "should" be made.

Whew, that's better, I have now vented.

In actuality, some of the suggestions came from a viewer that was having difficulty on the site.  It wasn't "user friendly" in their opinion.  Now, that doesn't negate the hundreds of others that don't have any problem, that think the site is great, it's just this one got to me.  The viewer wasn't going to buy because they have enough business and only want to focus on the local traffic so the site wouldn't work for them but they sure could give input into what they thought should be done.

I think I will be glad to have my husband home for more reasons then I miss him, he can answer the internet questions better than I can and that will help, although in truth there haven't been too many that I couldn't handle.

Ok, so it's Wed. and the week is actually going pretty well.  I did feel bad that my husband was sick and I couldn't help him take care of the kids.  Not only did he not feel well but then he still did all the things that need to be done, bless him for that.

The theft of the meat out of the freezer at our daughters has caused some expenses that weren't anticipated.  I sure hope that particular "friend" never darkens the door of my daughters’ house again, it's too expensive to have her around!  What a shame, she used to be a wonderful girl; she was honest as the day is long, loving and kind.  Now, since she is married to the scum ball she has become one like him.  So sad.

Now it's time to focus on work and quit with the pity party.

If you are having a big back yard party and you want to have the group have a blast in your back yard, then you may want to put in one of the  Water Slides for them to play on. Not only are there slides available but you can get water games, obstacle courses and sports items, and bouncers. Along with having all the items available the company will help you grow your business if you decide to become a vendor for them. How many people do you know that would like to have things like these available to occupy their kids during the summer? Since they are safe, inexpensive, available in varied sizes and easy to have shipped it would be a great sideline business for you.

When you get one of their catalogs and look over the items they have you are sure to find something that would bring smiles and laughter to your family and friends.
Not only are they not expensive but they come with the necessary equipment to get everything up and running, from the pump to the safety equipment.  Inflatable bouncers manufactured by Jumpions, Inc: Two (2) year seam to seam warranty from the date of shipment to Buyer. All water products and games have a One (1) year seam to seam warranty from the date of shipment to Buyer.
Just think of all the fun your friends and family can have on one of these items. When they go to the carnival or to a pizza place that has the bouncers the kids can hardly wait to get into them and jump around. Why not have one at home where you know that there are not “unwanted” items in the bottom that could hurt your children?

All you have to do is go to the website, look around and make your decision on which item is right for you and your family. Then, enjoy the experience.
