MyWallSt.net is a site that will give you the opportunity to understand the market and investing, using virtual money. The site will act just as a real portfolio with someone like E-Trade works. You purchase the stocks that you believe will do well in the current market. You decide if you are going to hold them for the long term or are going to turn them rather quickly and be a profit taker.
The site will follow what you are doing, how you are fairing and if you are one of the lucky winners in accumulted stock wealth you will be eligable for a real cash bonus.
There is a delay in the posting of the stocks, just like in real purchases so that you will understand the delay. Also, there is a "fee" for your purchases. Out of the money they give you to start your account, $100.000, there is a $20 activity fee. That means that when you are calculating the amount of money you have be sure to withdraw the fee from your balance. You can make 20 trades a day (if you are crazy enough to want to keep track of that many) so it could get expensive to just trade for the sake of trading.
This is a great way to learn about investing, to see if you really want to manage your own investments or want to have a professional do it for you. Just sign up for the Rookie challenge section and have a chance to win the $1000 weekly pay out. Remember, the one that does the best with the investment portfolio is the winner…think seriously about what you want to invest in, think out the strategy and register to play!
Here I am, in Des Moines running the office. The typical day starts around 7 and goes until around 4:30 with people and then off to some other things scheduled for the evening. Pretty typical. Then there is my husbands current job…babysitting our 4 grandkids for 2+ weeks in AZ.
Now, he is enjoying his time with them so far, of course it has only been a day and a half, but already the typical has gone out the window. The older girls were in a car accident on the way to school, they were not hurt, nor was their friend who was driving, but still, terrifying I am sure. Then our 8 year old was grumpy in the morning and worried about being late for school (due to the accident) which, of course, he wasn't. Pre-school for the little one started off just fine until Papa remembered lunch…oops….had to go home, pack lunch and take it back.
Now all of those things would have been enough for a first day, but the part that had me laughing until I was almost in tears was what transpired when the little one got home. Being a super Papa he was outside with her while she played. She found a snake and was busy playing with it until the poor snake found a rock (or something) to hide under so she couldn't see it anymore and went on to something new. How funny!
He's my hero, taking care of the kids, loving them so much and doing such a great job, no wonder I love him so much!!
The beginning student is always frightened about chording, it looks so complicated and getting the fingers to go where they are supposed to seems impossible. If you practice and think about the structure you will soon find that the piano chordsPiano Chords Blog are no more difficult then runs.
The logic of chords is just pure math, now that probably scares some, but it will come with practice, just like learning your math! Don't give up. You will love what you can do after just a short time.
Today begins the crazy period of our year, Greg is off, in the morning, to stay with our grandkids for two weeks while I work at the office. It should be an interesting time since I am so used to being able to just say "Greg, I need help" and having him be right there. Now, it will be phone calls for him to tell me how to fix the whatevers.
It will be a great opportunity for him to spend some quality time with the kids. Running kids to school and picking them up, fixing dinner for 5, packing lunch for Molly and all the other things that need to be done will be quite an experience, he'll have a blast.
We are so proud of Bobbi and Greg for selling the franchise and going to Portugal to train that whatever we can do to help is worth it.
40 years ago today I was blessed with the most beautiful baby in the world, one that was so special and loved so much! Now, it should make me feel old to think that it was 40 years ago, but it doesn't…she's not old and neither am I. Don't feel old at all….until I think that with our oldest granddaughter turning 17 in a couple of months and that it could be just as short a time as 5 years (do you hear that Shay…at LEAST 5 years) I could be a Great grandmother and Bobbi could be a Grandma…now THAT makes me feel old!
When I am fortunate enough to spend time with Bobbi I realize what a blessing she is to me. She's a loving daughter and a fabulous Mom. She loves her kids as passionately as I love mine….doesn't get much better than that!
So, happy birthday precious one…Mom loves you!
All of us have an issue with going to the malls on Black Friday, it's crowded, it's noisy and nasty traffic. Why would we want to do this to ourselves ? (Other than sometimes it's fun, if there are a bunch of us going together to make a day of it.)
But with the new website that is up and running you can go online, get great deals and notification of new sales for some of the stores that you would have gone to in the mall and you don't have to leave home! That's an advantage in so many ways. Take for instance, Old Navy will not only have great sales, but they, and the other stores involved in the Black Friday site will send out emails letting you know when something new has been added to the list! How sweet is that? You don't have to run back to the store to see if they have put some new item up; it will come to you in email fashion!
Then there is
I will certainly be checking out the site, it's an easy way to get something without the hassle of the malls and the pricing looks good too!
The holidays are not that far off so if you haven't started thinking about who and what you need things for you probably better start giving it serious thought! www.BlackFriday.netwww.black-friday.net will be a big help! Check it out.
We have opened the DM office. Had our first interview with a potential employee this morning while the second one that we had set up for this afternoon called to say he had accepted another position. We do have applicants that will be in next week so things are actually moving along quite nicely.
Greg and John worked yesterday to get the office wiring working correctly. Greg is finishing up the phone wiring today, it will be quite a feat for him to have it done since he has had to stop and help me with computer problems a couple of time. Still have one regarding email that he will address later, don't want to bug him with it now, he has his hands full with the wiring.
This is a site I had not heard of previously but sure glad I found it now. The information on the candidates of both parties that is on the political blog was informative without the bias that is found on many sites. This is talking only about the bio information, not the entire site.
I was impressed with the update done on the blog regarding the political candidates, they had Thompson on and he just declared last night.
Having the information on both parties was also an interesting change. Normally you find just one party and the information is totally biased toward the views of that particular party, this was not the case in this particular political post, nice change.
There is a forum for those that are either addicted to drugs or those that are living with or worried about someone that is addicted. This forum allows for real comments and suggestions. It is filled with real life experiences and suggestions from people that actually have faced this issue.
There are lots of pages on the net about addiction, but this is different because it is a forum, ask a question and someone with experience in a similar situation will respond. The choice is yours, information or not, help or not, it's totally up to you.
Tomorrow is the day that they bring the furniture for the office in
Greg went in yesterday and worked on the phone lines, getting those he could hooked up and finding out what all he needs to finish it up on Wed. Poor guy didn't get home until nearly 6 this morning, he worked all night!
I got the hall between the dining room and the spare bedroom painted and some cleaning done while he was in Des Moines, but sure didn't work as hard or as long as he did! But, the hall looks good, glad it's done.
