If you are looking for a car lease option you may want to check out this site and see if what they have to offer anyone living in the UK is right for you. The opportunity to get the information you want is right there, all you have to do is follow the instructions.
You may be on a fixed financial budget and assume that you will not be able to get a new car for the amount of money that you are able to commit each month to a car payment. This site will search the dealers and find the right car at the price you can afford and walk you through getting the car delivered right to your front door.
If you are looking for a specific type of car, the right make and model for you, this site can help you find it, give you the lease amount on a monthly basis and have you driving around in the "perfect" car for you.
Not everyone wants to buy a car outright. Many want to lease one so they have less tied up immediately or they know they are going to want a different car in a certain amount of time and find leasing to be the right solution to their particular situation. Leasing can be confusing if you don't have someone that understands the process helping you get the best deal. This site will help you achieve your goal with as little "pain" as possible.
Driving home from Des Moines last night was interesting. It was snowing just a bit in DM so we really didn't think much about it. Well, the temperature was just at freezing which made the highway really slippery. It was another night of driving around 40 miles an hour, great! Took almost 4 hours to get home, of course part of it was sitting still while they cleared away an accident south of Iowa City. When the traffic finally got going we never did see anyplace that looked like there had been a crash big enough to cause the 40 minute delay so maybe it was not a death. I hope not.
I was in bed 30 minutes after we got home, had been feeling a little rough and thought that if I got some rest it would beat it. Seems to have worked, feel good this morning.
Bobbi called about Grandpa Ertman (her Great Grandpa and Shay's Great-Great Grandpa) and the history of his name and stuff. I'm going to take some time and write out what little I know about our family history for the kids, they may be interested, if not now, when they are older. Shay needed it for a class report.
Today will be accounting day, have to finish up the books and print out the W-2's from the hotel.
So I looked online to see what they were going to sell at the auction tonight. I thought it would be a bunch of stuff since it was right after the holiday and so forth, especially since there wasn't an auction for a couple of weeks over the holiday period. Well, not to be. At least, nothing that I want.
So when I got an email from a friend asking if we wanted to get together for dinner there was not reason to refuse, we decided to have a light salad or something and make it a rather short night, since last night was LONG, from 4 pm until midnight. Just so much to discuss, and of course the company is delightful.
Terry sold a couple of ads today, actually first thing this morning, and then things turned kind of cold for him, but he'll be back at it in the morning (now watch him sell one yet this afternoon on one of his late afternoon calls!)
The political situation becomes more and more interesting as the players move around the chessboard of states. Even those of us that really can't stand politics (which, I'm not one) have to be attracted to the thoughts of what it's going to be like for the next few months. You aren't going to be able to turn on the TV without one of the other of them telling their stories. Now, notice I did not say lies, I said stories. I believe that some of them actually believe some of the BS they spew across the air-waves. Some try to stay close to the truth and then there is Hillary who wouldn't know the truth if it stood up, took her hand and introduced itself. Just not in her to be honorable, such a variance from her true self would not come easily to her lips.
Obama gave a first class speech last night. Now, I may not agree with everything he says, I may favor another candidate in the end, but that guy is one heck of a speaker, I doubt anyone could disclaim that.
Since we got home so late I didn't watch the Republican speeches, but, I assume they were interesting too.
I've been building www.illinoisbeautiful.com and getting board with it so needed a diversion which is why, in the late hours of the afternoon I am posting on my site.
I took pictures of some interesting things on the way home from AZ that I should post.
We were looking forward to visiting the Shakespeare Ghost Town on the way from AZ into NM, sounded like something that would be fun, even in the wind and cold. Well, the town that the Ghost Town is outside of isn't a whole lot better off than the Ghost Town. Really appears to be a depressed area, run down double wide trailers, houses with stoops in really bad condition and no one out and about.
We drove over really nasty roads to get to the ghost town, winding, bumpy and not well marked, but since it was the only road that went the way the first sign indicated we took it. Yes, there it is. Umm, doesn't look like much, but maybe we will be suprised. Not to be!
We looked at the buildings that were supposed to be where Billy the Kid hung out during his criminal days and the law was after him.
The office looked more like something that has been around long enough to claim some history.
Obviously we didn't get a tour. There was no one around, the pick up was parked but it also didn't look like it had been driven for awhile. Oh well, on down the road.
We got to White Sands the same day and were blown away with what we saw. I guess we really hadn't given any thought to what to expect. It was really neat, from the introductory video to the drive through the sand dunes, which really look like snow but reminded us of the beach in Cayman.
People were sledding down the sand, just like it was snow. There is a huge picnic area but since I've already loaded these pictures I won't enter that one. It was really pretty neat, had it been a little warmer and the wind now blowing we probably would have gone for a short hike.
As we continued down the road we saw huge lines of wind generators across the state. They actually are pretty neat and if they help cut emmissions then great, although they are more expensive to build and operate than a standard generation plant.
As we continued on the road (and I can't remember if this was before White Sands or after) we came to a border patrol stop. I asked Greg if I could take a picture of the guard but he told me NO, so, I didn't.
Then it was on to Santa Rosa for the night and home the next day. Neat trip, three audio books and we were home!
There are payday loans and there are other loan types, this one is not a loan site, it is a site that will match you with the best option for you.
The site will help you find payday loans that best fit your needs and ability to pay. It works on matching prospective borrowers with prospective lenders.
Now, unless you really need to borrow money for a short period of time and you are able to control your spending to make sure you can pay the amount back, in full, when you get your check you may not want to take out a payday loan, the interest is high, the loans are designed for those that have the will power to manage their money and get the loans paid immediately. Give it serious thought before you do borrowing.
What an interesting evening in Iowa! I went to the Republican Caucus and Greg went to the Democrat. Greg called when he got to his and told me that they had set the church up for 100 people and 280 were there! Ward II met at the Methodist Church for the Democrats and all of the Republicans met at the high school.
The Republicans were, as typical, very quiet, hesitant to speak up. That is until the choosing of the representatives for the County convention when this dweeb that was in charge of informing the people about the process couldn't be heard by anyone! I mean, those sitting right in front of this guy, John something, the research director for PII, told him to speak up. He didn't. Then one guy stood up from the top row and asked if there was anyone there that could explain what the heck this guy was trying to say. After he said, "I can't speak any louder" I thought, geez, what a wrong choice for this position! So, I stood and explained the process of the convention, the requirements and the options for change. I got thanked and a little applause. There were so many first time attendees there that it was critical that they were told what the process entailed.
The result is that I am one of the 7 delegates to the county convention. I must admit, it felt really good to be back in that world, if even for a little while.
It is also exciting to see the number of first time attendees that were there! It was exciting to see the excitement, the energy that came alive and the people that got up and told why they feel their candidate should get the vote of the people. No one was particularly persuasive, they were just people talking about what they believe so it was good.
Greg said that 45% of those attending his meeting were people that had never voted before, they registered when they arrived. This is something different in Iowa than in other states, in a primary state you have to be a registered voter to participate in the election process, in Iowa, you can register at the caucus and participate. You can also change your registration at the site, go from one party to another for the caucus and then after the caucus you can change back to the other party or as an independent. It's really a neat thing because when you vote in the general election you don't have to vote a party, you can chose whomever you want and no one knows, that beautiful!
With Obama winning the Democrat ticket and Huckabee winning the Republican ticket it means that the people of Iowa definitely want a change in Washington. With the Congress having an approval rating of just 22% and with the Presidency at 36% it is obvious that something is not setting well with the country faith in the leadership.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks. Biden and Dodd have already announced that they are dropping out of the race, it sounds like Thompson will too. The picture will change now as voters that were supporting them move to another candidate. But then, none of them really had much support so it won't make a huge difference I guess.
With Hilary coming in third in Iowa one has to wonder what Vilsack will do now. Tonight I heard a guy say that he thought that if Hilary won Tom would be her Chief of Staff. Now, I have far more faith in Tom than I do in Hilary so I guess that would be OK, but I doubt that Hilary will be able to choose anyone because I don't think she has a shot, thank goodness!!
So, Iowa has spoken, the nation has listened and we will watch and see the results in 5 days.
Iowa is getting all the media attention today because of the caucus tonight. It is interesting to to hear what the talking heads are saying, part of it is that if there are pollsters today saying so or so will win the democrat side tonight they are nuts, it's way too close to call. Many feel that Hilary is not the person they want in the White House and so that means that it comes down to Obama and Edwards, that is if Hilary doesn't take Iowa.
The Republican side appears to believe that Huckabee is going to take it, I'm not so sure. He's getting the media but, Iowans are people that make up their own minds and the media isn't going to "force" their opinions. It should be an interesting night!
Whew, it was a long drive on Wed. We drove through 6 states,
The e-book we listened to ended as we pulled into
While we were in
We stayed in Sana Rosa, NM on the way home at a Baymont. Although the hotel was old, it was in good condition and the rate was good. Sure doesn't compete with the Baymont in
Mercy was sleeping when we got home, Greg had to go find her and then she sat on his lap for a long time. I gave up and went to bed (4 hours ago) and when I came down this morning Greg was zonked on the sofa! Don't know how long Mercy stayed but apparently long enough for Greg to say heck with the steps, I'm crashing right here!
We had a fabulous time on our trip, such a great family!!
Oh, and the sweaters I bought were great for the trip, threw them on when we got out of the car for anything and it was just enough, until we hit Mt. Pleasant. We have SO MUCH SNOW! Could hardly get into the driveway! It is supposed to warm up now so it will melt but whew, we have it now.
Caucus night is tonight, the phone was filled with political messages and the mail had bunches of political mailers (which went to the trash last night as the calls got deleted.)
I have to go to
Now, I may just go back to bed LOL
