Happy Easter!

March 23, 2008 Family patwatson

Guess what it was doing in Mount Pleasant for Easter….SNOWING.  Yes, that’s right, in good old Iowa, it was snowing again.  It has to be spring pretty soon, don’t ya think?

Anyway, Easter was fun, Martha came for dinner and then we played Skipo.  It was fun!!   We had ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, sweet potatoes, lettuce salad, crescent rolls, green bean casserole and fresh, warm apple pie.  Lots of food, but I thought it made sense since then we can take left over’s to town with us for dinner.  It will be good.

I listed a few things on eBay last week and some actually sold, which was sweet!  Yesterday Greg came in with some stuff he had bought at an auction a long time ago, tax tokens and arrowheads so I listed a bunch of them too.  He said he had given them to me some time ago but I didn’t jump on them to list so he put them away, then when I was listing this week he found them and brought them to me.  Hopefully they do well, the arrowheads should according to the history of others that have sold.  These are really cool!

I’m packed for DM so now I can go work on the quilt and finish that up so it can go to Spring Body this week and be GONE.  All that’s left is putting the two sides together and tying it then it can go.  That shouldn’t take too long, especially if I get it stitched together tonight, I can tie it in DM if I have to.

Greg starts classes on Wed. in Ames.  Shoot, we didn’t even know there was a William Penn College branch in Ames LOL.

I wish we were with you kids for the holidays, but don’t give up on us, we’re working on getting there LOL

Kara did the ad for LaQuinta for us, she’s so bloody talented.  What a wonderful kid!

We hope the Easter Bunny found all our grandkids and they got lots of eggs!  Yummy!  Egg salad sandwiches!  Chocolate bunnies and all the other stuff, good for you!

Just remember that today is the day we celebrate the fact that Christ has risen from the grave to save us all from sin, it doesn’t get much better than that, we can all use his forgiveness.
