  • Prostate Cancer

My father had prostate cancer.  Although the treatment (surgery and radiation and chemo) killed the cancer cells it also took away the ability for an erection.  This was more devastating for a man than a woman would even think about.  When my father discussed it with me, there was true sadness in his voice and frustration in the reality. • Ok, One in and One Not

Ok, so Steve showed up for work today and actually may work out, hopefully.  He can do it if he wants.  I, of course, am keeping it on the strictly professional level, kind, supportive and distant.  He may have forgotten what a jerk he was the last time I saw him, but I haven't and won't.  Yes, there is a lot of my dad in me. • Trovix Recruit

Is is possible that Trovix Recruit could replace Monster as the number one employment search engine?  Is it possible that they will offer us as employers a better option for reviewing the applicants and making contact?  The use of the reports they offer, the selection criteria they have could revise the method that recruiters and employers use to find the right person for the right job by using the internet. (…)

  • Borrowing..Is it Right for You?

Unless you are taking out a home loan to purchase a home in your budget amount you probably want to seriously evaluate the burden that a bank loan (or any other loan) can put on your lifestyle.  Sure, you may get what you want immediately, but then you have to pay it back and the interest just increases the cost of the item.  Unless it is something critical that you need to take care of such as medical emergencies or car emergencies, you probably would be better off to wait until you have the money saved up to purchase that new sofa or TV. (…)

  • Decisions

Ok, we are closer to coming to a decision as to what we want to do in the next few months.  Our trip to Missouri for cigarettes gave us a chance to talk it over and decide a strategy to follow.  That always is a good thing.  Knowing what the plan is and when it is going to be implemented.  We will start the first steps tomorrow.  Interesting to get the information to help with decisions. • Computer Stuff at Discount Prices

Ok, so you are facing the need to expand your computer area, you need new cables, new wall jacks and all kinds of stuff to make it all work.  The problem is, you don't want to spend a fortune getting it since it is stuff that doesn't really show to the public that visit your home, but are necessary to make the computers work.  Where to go?
Of course you are going to look online for the things you need.  It's the way computer people shop, go online!  TCA should be the place you look first, and it will probably then be the last place you look since you will find what you are looking for there at reasonable prices.  Doesn't get a lot better than that, quick, inexpensive and right. • Insurance, A Necessary Part of Life

Whether you rent or own your home you need to have insurance.  There are more reasons than a fire, think about what would happen if you walked in to your home to find everything of value gone.  Your insurance would help to cover the cost of replacement. (…)

  • Are Payday Loans Right for You?

It's a week until payday and you are out of cash, your checking account is down to nearly zero and you want something that costs more than you have.  What to do?  You could go to Payday Loans and take out a loan until payday to cover the costs.  Now, you need to remember that it must be paid back on payday or your payments are heavy, it's hard, always hard, to play catch up on borrowed money so don't let it go beyond the next payday. (…)

  • A Garage

A garage is an ideal place to store your car, boat, dirt bikes, bike, tools, work benches and just about everything else that you don't want in the house, but can't force yourself to get rid of.  Then there are those that use the garage for the gatherings of friends and neighbors when it's too hot outside or raining, or the snow is deeper than the bumpers on the car that you have left sitting outside so you can have people in the garage. (…)

  • Garage Cabinets

When you are storing things in your garage, one of the normal items is the gas can.  You don't want it out where the kids can get into it, you want it easily accessible so wouldn't it make sense to put in inside metal cabinets that would keep it safe and secure? (…)

  • Garage Storage Needs

A garage is a wonderful addition to a home, you can store your car, tools and lawn equipment in it.  The other things that can go into a garage on the storage shelves in the garage storage is all that Christmas decorating stuff that takes up so much space in the house! (…)

  • Don't hit the wrong key

I have just proven my theory, I can make things disappear without even trying.  I was typing away, hit some key by mistake and poof, what I had written was gone.  Don't know what I hit, but will try not to hit it again
Tonight is auction night in Des Moines, which means that after work I will be on my way to the Southside.  All I have to do is remember how to get there, which I think I now have down.  Don't know how much there will be there, but that's the auction chance. (…)

  • Sproose, the Ranking Site

Sproose is the new site that allows you to vote on the websites that you like, put comments in about why you like them and help to boost the sites ranking.
Give it a try click here to try sproose
The tutorial is easy to follow, the impact on sites should be interesting to watch, those that you like should also appeal to others and help them move up in the rankings too.  Those that are primarily worthless you can vote to have them removed.  How cool is that?

  • Fall

Fall is arriving with a wet, dreary day.  Although fall actually began the 21st, it was hot and humid that day, today is more like we are used to this time of year.  Not cold, just not summer. (…)
