It appears that the fixed rate mortgages are more popular in the UK then they have been in the past, according to a report by Abbey. Commercial Mortgage is another area that will be looking for a longer term financing option with a fixed rate rather than the adjustable situation that impacted the United States in the past year.
Research from Abbey has revealed that the two year fixed-rate mortgage is more popular than any other mortgage deal. The research also revealed that 58 per cent of people in the UK would not know which deal to go for and four per cent said that they would rather go for their provider''s standard variable rate.
