It's pretty funny when you get used to having a heated mattress pad on your bed for the cold weather and then find out it flat wore out so there is no heated bed!  Last night wasn't so bad, but Thursday night it was cold in Iowa!  If it hadn't been for Greg I think I would have frozen to death!  Poor guy, he had me snuggling up most of the night trying to get warm, don't imagine he got lots of sleep!

That meant that yesterday was the time to hunt down another mattress pad, just like we had, since we really liked that one.  JC Penney is where we got the other one so I looked online and yes, they had them.  I called the store, thinking that we would just run over and pick it up, but they didn't have it in stock.  So, another online order!  I love the internet! 

That should take care of the cold this winter (and fall when the nights get cold).  It will be here when we get home next weekend.

eBay has been doing well for me, I have a bunch to pack again today and listed yesterday.  I shipped out about 8 boxes yesterday and will have two today before the rest of the sales close out.  The extra money from the sale of the stuff we buy at auctions is a nice addition to the bottom line.  After we take out the cost of the item we still are making some money (which is the hope and purpose!)  Last month was free listing month which was really sweet, this month is back to normal so the cost of the listing and final valuation fee has to be calculated in the cost of the item.  So, when you hear people talk about making all this money on eBay, ask them if they are talking gross or net….

There is a sale today at Menke Hoyer with some glassware.  It probably will be so packed that getting anything may be difficult (at the prices I am willing to pay) but we are going with the hope that it isn't the way I anticipate it will be.

Next week there are some sales that would be good to be at, but, alas, I have to be at a meeting at Camp Quaker Heights on Saturday morning.  Some are going up on Friday night and staying over.  I just can't get all excited about that so will get up with the birds (or before) and drive up on Saturday morning and back after the meeting.   Just long enough to miss the auctions!  Oh well, there is one Wed. night in DM so that should get me enough to get stuff to list.
